I’ve just bought a new sewing machine, a Singer Curvy and it is so easy to use. It comes with an easy threader system making threading super quick & easy. It also has 30 built in stitches – with automatic settings & manual too, a 2 step buttonhole and comes with all the usual extra bits & bobs (different feet, bobbins, darning plate etc. I finally found some time to make the lining for the knitted purse, shown in the photo below, that I finished before I went into hospital. Once set up – quick & easy; the machine is really easy to use & fairly quiet. Only a light pressure on the pedal and you don’t really need to concentrate on guiding the fabric through as it almost does it by itself – just a light touch is needed to ensure it doesn’t go astray. Once I’m a bit more settled with the children, I plan to make lots of lovely things on it to sell.
